Linda is a lifelong resident of Logansport and a 1972 graduate of Logansport High School. Along with owning her own small business, Linda has been an active public servant for much of her life. She was appointed Deputy Mayor of Logansport in 2004 and was re-elected in 2007. Linda has worked extremely hard to achieve many successes for Logansport as the city’s Deputy Mayor.
Before becoming Deputy Mayor in 2004, Linda worked at the Indiana Department of Commerce as the Program Manager of Region Four (2003-4) and Associate Director of Indiana Main Street 2001-2003. Linda was a member of the Logansport City Council from 1997 to 2004 and worked for Cass County in the Commissioner’s office and the Highway Department between 1991 and 1998.
Linda¹s professional achievements reflect her roots in small business, downtown revitalization and volunteering in her hometown, as well. In 1981, she opened Linda¹s Carriage Barn, a small-business devoted to making and selling candy. She sold the business in 1997.
In addition to her work in the Government and Business sectors, Linda has served the community through her volunteer work and active involvement in many community organizations including the Salvation Army, Intercultural Community Alliance, Logansport Plan Commission, Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, Cass County Historic Preservation Society, Cass County Historical Society, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Steering Committee for Diversity Dynamics, Cass County Carousel Board, Light Up Logansport Parade Committee, and the Cass County Visitor’s Bureau Commission. Linda is also actively involved in her church, Cross-Wind United Methodist.
Linda and her husband, David, have been married for 35 years and have two children. Their son Nathanial resides in Indianapolis. Their son Zak and his wife Tammy live in Southaven, Mississippi and have three children, Matthew, Andrew and Sarah.
